The American Job Center is your One-Stop-Shop dedicated to providing free services to job seekers and employers, including job search assistance, personal career planning services, training opportunities, and HireNet Hawaii support. BAYADA Home Care is governed by and adheres to the laws and requirements of a non-profit organization and is a completely separate legal entity from BAYADA Home Health Care, our founding organization. Through a management services contract, BAYADA Home Health Care provides support services only. As an accredited, regulated, certified, and licensed home health care provider, BAYADA complies with all state/local mandates.

For the second year in a row, Alvin Makimoto and his team at Uptown Kitchen in Wailuku have partnered with Bayada’s Maui Visits office to help slow the holidays down, and give back to kupuna in the community.
The deliveries on Dec. 9, included a plate of shoyu chicken, rice and Mac salad, with a bag of toiletries, disinfectant supplies, masks and snacks. BAYADA is accredited by Community Health Accreditation Partner for meeting the industry’s highest nationally recognized standards of care.

Bonner shared that aside from a friend travelling to see her from out of state in a few days, her time with the staff has been the first time she’s had visitors over in years. That’s when Meyer recalled her former patient and friend, Bonner, who lived not too far away. An executive decision was made to proceed to give the few remaining plates to residents at the neighboring community, Hale Lōkahi ʻAkahi. For many years, Bonner and her nurse, Brianna Meyer, an employee of Bayada Home Health Care’s Medicare Certified Maui Visits Office have built a relationship of mutual respect. Organizers say Turquio waited patiently as the group of 40 made their way through the community. When the crew returned, Melissa Perricelli-Goueytes, Director of the Maui Home Care office began to plan an instrumental of the song requested.

Turquio fondly recalls and refers to traveling with the choir and music ministry in her younger years as the best times in her life and said the holidays make her miss her family and friends so much more, as many have already passed away, according to organizers. For a third year in a row, Bayada Home Health Care partnered with Uptown Kitchen to bring a warm meal and home supplies to residents of Hale Mahaolu and Lokenani Hale on Maui. “With tears in her eyes, she was overwhelmed with gratitude as she was able to finally match faces with voices that she’s spoken to over the years when she was in need,” according to healthcare workers.
